Meteogram

Are you interested in weather trends? Then this is the right application for you.

Meteogram gives you graphical depictions of trends with variables such as temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, wind speed, percentage of cloud cover.

The main screen contains two graphs. The upper screen shows a detailed summary for the next 48 hours, and the lower screen shows a change in temperature for 6 days in advance.
There is a special pop-up menu for easy usability. There is no need to follow the values on the vertical and horizontal axes, rather you “tap” anywhere on the chart and more detailed informations are displayed. With the Meteogram app you can access data for your current location or select a location from the database which contains over 110 000 cities worldwide.

The Meteogram application supports Imperial and Metric units.
Weather forecast from yr.no, delivered by the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and the NRK.

Citybikes in Stockholm

Stockholm CitybikesStockholm CitybikesStockholm CitybikesAre you in Stockholm? Why not use one of the public bikes! We have about 100 bicycle stands here, but sometimes it can be a bit tricky to find them.

Thanks to the power of iPhone 3.0 and the native supported map integration, you are able to see all the bike locations close to you as “dropped pins”.

Additionally, this application will show you the stands that are located nearest your current location. It also shows you the distance in meters!

The bikes are available everyday at every stand between 06.00 am – 10:00 pm during the spring/summer/autumn season from 1 April to 31 October.

Just a tip: If you rent a bike just before 10:00 pm, you can keep it for three hours until 01:00 am.

You can find pricing and general information at the official city website: http://www.citybikes.se

Note: This application is not in any way affiliated with Stockholm City or Clear Channel.

New version 1.2 is designed for both iPhone and iPad, and contain updated bike stands for 2010.

RT90

RT90RT90The Swedish grid (in Swedish: Rikets Nät, RT90) is the coordinate system used for government maps in Sweden.

This system is often used on Swedish charts. For example, all hostel locations of the most popular Swedish Tourist Association (Svenskaturistforeningen) are marked using these coordinates.

This application is a simple converter, which allows you to type in the position in RT90, and as a result it shows a pin on the map represented by this location.

Sample locations:

X: 7533119 Y: 1618352 (X is the north latitude and Y is the east longitude), shows pin for STF Mountain station Kebnekaise

X: 6802514, Y: 1348550 – hostel in Sälen

X: 6577608, Y: 1633445 – climbing area in Nacka Kvarn, near Stockholm

It also shows you driving directions between the selected point and your current location using the built-in maps application.

Important information:

- RT90 is a Swedish grid system, therefore all typed in locations must be located in Sweden.

- works only on iPhone 3.0+
